Recently I discovered that one of my good friends has learned to solve Rubik’s cubes. Now I have been making attempts to learn it myself via youtube tutorials… it’s not as hard as I thought it would be as there are specific functions you can learn and repeat to get consistant results. I can solve 2/3rds of it now on my own without looking at any references, but after that my memory gets fuzzy. I’ll nail it soon, mark my words!
After pouring over one for so long, I began to notice and appreciate the bold colours and patterns and was inspired to do an illustration based on it.
This is my first work of the new year! ;D
I’m calling it ‘Clarity’ because of the feeling you get when you finally solve a Rubik’s Cube. So zen!
You will probably see Rubik’s Cubes pop up in my work later as well.
